More work but still don't know purpose

Do you remember the 3 story building which I pictured before? Click here for my first posting, of it. And click here for my second posting of it.

Anyway, none of us could figure out what the building was going to be used for... This is the front, now.

This is the side view now. And there are now two garage door openings.

This is the back. And I still don't know what it will be used for. Even after asking a man, who looked like he was somehow in charge. Funny that... All he would do was make 'funnies.' Why would anyone be reluctant to say, what the building was to be used for? Hmmmm... Makes me all the more interested...

Wee little winding path...

Finally, a new walk way, inside the back gate. On a carriage house restoration. The long work {with stones being cut} in there.... was for a patio on the back.

No more car drive way, in here, where we are looking. It's totally pedestrian now. No need for a driveway here, any more.... the big house has plenty of parking.

Kind of *wild* leaves...

It's been an *interesting* couple of days in Blog Land for me... :-(
Not
in this one of my blogs.
No, not this one.
This one stays calm and nice...

But anyway, I didn't have time/interest in going out for a usual pic of the city, today. I got this, right in my husband's flower garden. Still in the city, though! :-)

I am putting up a B&W version of ...

These Poppy leaves. Kind of cool, hu? :-)

Sad...

=================================

Breaking News... 5 minutes ago... Link to News...

He is far from being a favorite person of mine.

But I am shocked and saddened, to read this news.

-sigh-

Not quite...

Full May Flower Moon... But not quite full.
I don't have a fancy camera or lenses, and so it's a fuzzy photo.
But I will say that my fuzzy picture... is an *artsy* picture. :-))))

Moon above... Street light below...

Moon "mountains"... Not the moon itself, and not mountains. But cropped this way, the photo sort of looks like Moon "mountains" to me. :-)

Memories, of where a tree once stood...

This odd looking thing above, is in the front of a yard, on one of the big "Summer Cottages." It's all that remains of where a tree once stood. When the big trees around here, would become diseased near the bottom, they used to do what you see above. Try to save the tree, by putting these cement bricks and etc., where the tree was rotted. Interesting... But since I don't remember the tree, I don't know how long 'it worked.' :-)

Friday -- Evening sky

A cloud formation which caught my eye, coming out of the library, last evening...

{All my photos can be clicked on, to enlarge}

Spring projects are piling up around here, both inside and out. So I'll keep posting photos, but not be able to spend as much time on the computer, for a few days. If we don't get the Spring projects done soon, it will be Summer! >,-) And the only way I can MAKE myself do needed stuff, is to cut back on my computer time. -sigh- -sigh- -sigh- :-)

But I bet I'm not the only one, who is like this!!!!!!!! ,-)

Just walkin'...

Just walkin'...

As close as I could get, to the annual St. Clement's Horse Show {Click here}. Without paying to get in that is. ,-) We went up Union Ave., to see if we'd be lucky enough to be stopped in traffic, while horses crossed over, from barn side to track side. But of course, we weren't that lucky.

Funny how when you want to be stopped, you aren't. And when you're in a hurry and don't want to be stopped, you are. ,-) But we got this one shot, through the fence. Of someone just taking her horse for a gentle stroll. Maybe their events were over, for the day...

And by now, it looks like this!

{{My click-able links, are in red}}

Remember this digging being done? And then, this foundation being laid?

Well, now it looks like this!

We thought it was a porch. But this seems more than just a porch.

Since you can't do much of anything around this city, without going before a Planning Board, with your plans ~ I wonder if all the start-and-stop work {which I was complaining about}, was due to hold ups, from the Planning Board?

I'll keep an eye on the progress... :-)

Sad old house...

This poor old house has been for sale for ages. Looks small from the front, but it actually extends quite far back. So it's a good size.

Sorry for the blurrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It's on a busy road, so I had to take pics, while moving by. And this pic, showing that it's bigger than it seems ~~ came out too blurry.
.

Our thought is, how far back does the property extend? Could the house be moved back farther, from the road? Some natural barrier of trees planted, along the front edge of property? And thus, make it more desirable?
.
Then again, what shape is it in? Is it worth it, all round? But in today's depressed housing market, seems like the time to grab it. If one had the money to speculate with!!! :-) Nope, we don't!!!
.
Then, what's the story of the house? Who built it? How many people lived in it? Why has it been abandoned for so long? Etc. Etc. Etc. -sigh- I think it's just the cutest thing. Maybe I'll call the real estate people and see if I know anyone in that office, and maybe find someone who will be willing to answer my "How come?" questions. :-)

Ducks... on the pool

A pair of ducks...

Whether it's these two or not... A pair seems to come each year, to our un-opened pool. So, it's now "officially" Spring.

New ... But "old"

This is relatively new architecture. But done in such a way, that it fits in with older architecture. It can be done! If the desire/money are there. :-)

Little truck...

{{Please click on photos, to enlarge}}

My husband does all sorts of woodworking. A friend of his asked him to make a little pick-up truck, for his new born Grandson. And this {above} is the finished product.

{Since we all live in this city, this is still a City Photo! -smile-}

Please note the details of inside the cab of the truck. Seat, steering wheel, shift and foot peddles. Isn't that cute?!?

My Favorite!

I'm kind of "under the weather" {which means, I don't feel good}, so I've not been around to read/comment in blogs as much. Sorry...
.
But I put up a couple of photos of my favorite 'horse.' These horse statues began as a fund raiser. Every year, there are more make. This one {my favorite} was purchased by The Adirondack Trust Bank. It's stored inside somewhere during winter and put back out, in nice weather.
